The 2016 General Body Meeting of AFNA will take place on 2nd July, 2016 at 9:30am to 11am PT. You can join us in person if you are attending Assam Convention 2016 in Seattle, WA. AFNA is a co-sponsor of the Assam Convention 2016. Our volunteers will be presenting multiple sessions about our projects and programs. We will also be available to discuss more in person. If you are interested in joining Assam Convention 2016, please check out here.

Mid-West Tornado Relief

Family members salvage possessions from their destroyed house in Harrisburg, IL after the tornado.

In March 2012, a tornado wreaked havoc in the mid-western states of the USA. As a token of support to the victims, AFNA did a fund drive for relief work in the area. It has donated $1000 from the fund drive to the American Red Cross. The fund drive was led by AFNA volunteer, Debojit Bora.

Letter To Aninidita And Saurav Kumar From Gitasree

Gitasree Gogoi Apte, from Calgary, Canada, has not only extended financial support to our students in Assam, she has gone ahead and forged a relationship with them by making them a part of her life. She has written a very touching letter to the two students she has sponsored via AFNA. We would like our other donors to take it as a cue and extend your help from finance to all other spheres. Please interact with them via letters, emails (whenever possible), phone calls to guide and encourage them.
